Wafian HR-2-DS HD Stereoscopic (3D) Video Recorder

The Wafian HR-2-DS is a 10-bit dual-stream stereoscopic HD-SDI recorder for 3D digital film workflows.  The HR-2-DS-DS records two streams of full resolution HD into a single CineForm format file, which contains two independent video tracks for ease of use in post-production.  The new HR-2-DS empowers film-makers with affordable and efficient 3D workflow options without sacrificing visual fidelity.

The HR-2-DS introduces new features to make stereoscopic recording faster & easier:

  • Support legacy workflows - Edit one eye only with reference movie file

  • Saves Disk Space and Money - 3D 1920x1080 24p at 140 GB/Hour compared to uncompressed at 955 GB/Hour

The HR-2-DS offers the ability to monitor each of the video streams individually, or blended, a unique capability that allows the user to calibrate right-eye left-eye convergence.  The HR-2-DS was developed with simplicity in mind, providing power features yet with an easy to use "One Button" interface to record and review your footage through its convenient touch screen LCD panel.

The dual-link HR-2-DS records full resolution HD from HD-SDI feeds and stores your video into a mirrored configuration to always ensure the safety of your footage.
